Iditarod 54 Limited Edition Photo Book

An August 24 update from the photographers:

Thank you for your patience! We’ve been working on this project nearly every day and have spent countless hours getting everything designed, laying out the photographs, securing ISBNs, writing and refining the text, and working through multiple rounds of revisions with our copyeditor. Who knew the text would take so much time?!

Over the past week, Iditarod staff have reviewed the digital proof and provided a few edits and suggestions, which we’re currently working through. We’re hoping to complete this final round today (8/25). Once those edits are finished, we’ll send the print-ready files to our printer for their review.

This is our first time publishing a book, so there has definitely been a learning curve along the way. The process has taken longer than we had hoped, but we couldn’t be more excited about how the book has come together. While the book is filled with plenty of beautiful photographs, it’s much more than a collection of pretty pictures, it tells the story of Iditarod 54.

We understand that the delay has been frustrating or disappointing for some, and we sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding. If you would prefer not to wait, you are welcome to contact mailorder@iditarod.com to cancel your order and receive a full refund. We certainly wish the process could move more quickly, but we completely understand if you choose to go that route.
